Shenandoah County is home to 178 miles of trails for hiking, biking, off road vehicles and horseback riding. The George Washington National Forest offers spectacular views of the Valley below, lush forest, the Shenandoah River, streams, and abundant wildlife making this region an outdoor paradise. In Shenandoah County the forest covers 75,349 acres of the land providing a wealth of outdoor recreation for all ages.
