Mount Jackson

Mount Jackson is home to some of the best attractions in Shenandoah County, you could pack a lunch and picnic near the beautiful Meem’s Bottom covered bridge, then wade in or skip rocks in the Shenandoah River below. You could stop in and visit the Route 11 Potato Chip factory with its “fry-viewing” room and well-stocked chip sampling station. You could take a tour underground and see stalactite and stalagmite formations at Shenandoah Caverns then visit American Celebration on Parade, an unusual museum that houses parade floats from Inaugurals and Rose Bowl parades through the decades.  After sightseeing, you can relax at any number of wine tasting rooms nestled along the rolling hills and backroads.

The Town of Mount Jackson is accessible via I-81 exits 269 or 272.
