Guests stay in a self contained two bedroom, two bath cottage overlooking the Shenandoah River and adjacent to the Swartz Family home. Both structures share a rich history after surviving the Battle of New Market where they were raided by Custer in 1864.  The cottage itself was a cobbler shop where Confederate boots were made and wounded soldiers found refuge.  Now converted into a secluded getaway, the Jacob Swartz House is an ideal hub from which to experience all of the Shenandoah Valley’s historic treasures and natural wonders.
