OHV TRAILS

Get off the beaten path in your OHV (off-highway vehicle) in the George Washington National forest featuring 36 miles of wooded trails with great view of the valley below.  These trails represent the largest OHV trail system on public land within Virginia. Access the trails at South Peters Mill Run Trailhead, Edinburg Gap Trailhead, and Taskers Gap Trailhead.

Before heading out pick up lunch at the Foltz Store or plan for a delicious tavern style meal at the Edinburg Mill Restaurant. Enjoy overnight camping at Little Fort campground in Fort Valley or the Creekside campground in Edinburg. Just north of Edinburg the town of Woodstock offers shopping, a brewery, winery, Seven Bends State park, numerous restaurants, an ice cream shop and bakery!

NOTE: This trail system is closed to motorized use from the 3rd Monday in January until the 3rd Monday in March. Equestrians, hikers, and mountain bikers may use the trails at this time.
