Shenandoah County is home to 8 award-winning wineries offering the best of Virginia wine.  Enjoy a weekend away as you sip fabulous wine, savor the freshest of local cuisine and enjoy the breath-taking scenery of the Shenandoah Valley.

DAY 1


Start your day off with a breakfast sandwich and a cup of coffee at The Woodstock Cafe or delicious pastries at Flour & Water before you head out to shop, in and around the Town of Woodstock.  Start off your shopping experience at  Travelers Treasures where you can always find locally sourced foods, pantry items, herbs and spices; and functional crafts from local artisans including pottery, soap, wooden kitchen implements and other goodies.  Within a block you will find a variety of shops and galleries along Main Street. Scenic back roads take you over the river and through the woods to pet-friendly and Governor’s Cup award winner Muse Vineyards and south to Shenandoah Vineyards, the oldest vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley.   Check into your hotel and enjoy dinner at one of the many quaint restaurants located in Woodstock, Virginia.

DAY 2


Enjoy breakfast and locally roasted coffee at Jackson’s Corner Cafe in New Market then start your day at the Virginia Museum of the Civil War or Shenandoah Caverns and their Family of Attractions including American Celebration on Parade . Before heading out to #sipshenandoah pick up lunch to go at the Woodstock Garden Cafe  to picnic at  Wolf Gap Vineyard, located on a ridgeline, which affords spectacular mountain views.   To round out your tour, visit Cave Ridge Vineyard, nestled in the foothills overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. At the nearby Winery at Kindred Pointe  you can enjoy the many walking trails and house made hard cider before ending your wine experience at Third Hill Winery at DeMello Vineyards where on Sunday you can listen to local musicians from their umbrella covered deck or vast meadow.  Relax in your hotel and then enjoy dinner at the Edinburg Mill Restaurant in a rustic and relaxed setting to end your day.

DAY 3


Start your day off at a local breakfast spot or stop into Blue Wing Frog to pick up a to-go picnic lunch then stroll along King Street to view the Staufferstadt Murals created by world renowned artists while exploring many of the local shops.  Strasburg is a great destination for antique lovers as well with the state’s largest antique emporium, the Strasburg Emporium.  Just a short drive from Strasburg visit North Mountain Vineyard and Winery with charming European architecture and Star in the Valley Estate Winery located at 1000′ feet with spectacular views and two new additions to the family farm Southdown Babydoll sheep Yuri and Shep!
