MUSHROOM ID & FORAGING WALK
George Washington National Forest
Sunday, October 20, 1 – 4 pm
$20 SM Members, $30 others
Wondering if you can eat that one? Join us for a walk led by William Needham, President of the Washington, DC Mycological Society, to learn how to identify and forage sustainably for wild mushrooms. Exact location within GWNF will be announced to participants a few days prior to the event (once William has reconnoitered the terrain), but is likely to be Elizabeth Furnace. The walk will be at a gentle pace, and cover up to a few miles of forest paths.
Space is strictly limited, and advance registration is required.
