National Tourism Week 2019
May 5 - May 11
National Tourism Week in Shenandoah County is time to encourage LOCALS to enjoy all of the cool things that a tourist might enjoy right here in your own back yard. Local businesses and attractions will be offering special incentives and discounts to locals only during the eek of May 5-11 2019. All you need to do is show up and present ID that proves you live in Shenandoah County and take advantage of all of the following specials:
Curtain Call Coffeehouse Cafe– 10% discount on any purchase
Fort Valley Ranch-10% off all trail rides
Edinburg Mill Restaurant– Mention this ad for National Tourism Week and get 15% off of your entire bill (excluding alcohol).
Shenandoah Caverns– Free caverns admission for up to a family of 4.
Woodbine Farms– Free cookie

Shenandoah Valley Cultural Heritage Museum at the Edinburg Mill*- All visitors $1.00 off museum admission and a souvenir “Edinburg” magnet for those touring the museum. May 1-15
Virginia Museum of the Civil War– Free admission to the museum and a 10% discount in the General’s Store. (must show proof of County residency, not valid for students on a booked program)
Woodstock Museum*- Free admission and extended hours 10am-4pm May 5-11

*Shenandoah County Historical Society* will be hosting a “Hunt for History” scavenger hunt on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11. Visitors will receive a passport card to fill out at several participating locations throughout the county for a chance to receive a prize pack of museum items. Visit the County Library website for more details. The Fort Valley Museum, Strasburg Museum, Hupps Hill, the Shenandoah County Historic Courthouse, Woodstock Museum, & Edinburg Mill will be open at least 11-5 both days. The Archives at the Shenandoah County Library will be open to visitors Friday 10-6 & Saturday 10-3 and the Mt. Jackson Museum will be open 1-4PM.
